Meet Sherry
I’ve been a proud resident of Loveland nearly my entire life. My parents moved here when I was just a toddler, and I have fond memories of growing up in The Heights—playing kickball in our cul-de-sac and riding my bike through Tomahawk Trail.
I moved away for a period of time after I was married, but eventually my town called me home, and I answered. I raised my two daughters here as a single parent, and they graduated from Loveland Schools just like their mom. I’m now incredibly proud to be "Weezy" (my grandma name 😉) to my beautiful granddaughter.
Volunteering gives me a strong sense of purpose and allows me to give back to the community that helped raise me. For this reason, I currently serve as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Board, and I’ve also served as Secretary on both the Downtown Master Plan Committee and Comprehensive Master Plan Committee. I’m also on my neighborhood HOA Board and the steering committee for the PRIDE employee resource group (ERG) at my workplace. Improving my community has always been at the heart of my volunteer efforts.
Professionally, I am a Compliance Project Manager with over four decades of experience in the insurance industry. I hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and am a licensed real estate salesperson in Ohio. I’m proud to have graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Thomas More College, a feat I accomplished while balancing full-time work.
Motivated by a deep love for Loveland, I am dedicated to preserving the historic charm that defines our community while supporting thoughtful development that balances growth and tradition. I am not anti-development—I am pro-thoughtful and respectful development. Balancing preservation and development is not an either-or proposition; we can do both.
With my lifelong ties to Loveland, professional expertise, and a proven track record of community involvement, I believe I am uniquely positioned to serve and represent the people of Loveland as a member of City Council.
Testimonials
"I am proud to support Sherry Hamlin for Loveland City Council. I first met Sherry years ago when we were both working hard to get Loveland back on track during a tough run in our city’s politics. Since then, she has shown unwavering dedication to our city, attending nearly every council meeting and consistently speaking up — whether in support of council decisions or advocating for the issues she believes in.
Sherry is not new to serving Loveland. She has contributed her time and energy to various city committees, participated in Loveland University, and formerly helped lead the Loveland Community Heartbeat PAC — a nonpartisan organization committed to supporting candidates who put our community first.
Sherry has never rushed into the spotlight. Instead, she’s thoughtfully waiting for the right time to step into leadership. That time is now. She is smart, determined, informed, and deeply committed to Loveland. Her readiness to lead and her long-standing involvement make her an outstanding candidate for council.
With several strong individuals in the race, Sherry still stands out as a top contender. I was thrilled to hear she’s running this cycle, and I believe Loveland would be incredibly fortunate to have her on the council dais. Sherry will absolutely be getting my vote".

"I met Sherry Hamlin about eight years ago. I consider her a good friend. She was raised in Loveland and has lived most of her life here. She knows Loveland for what it was, she knows Loveland for what it is, and as a member of City Council she will use those two perspectives to guide her mind, her heart, and her votes for what Loveland can be in the future. I am proud to whole heartedly endorse her for a seat on City Council".

"I’m excited to share why I believe Sherry is the perfect candidate for Loveland City Council. I met Sherry’s daughter in 2nd grade when I first moved to Loveland, and we’ve been friends ever since. Sherry has captured so many embarrassing homecoming, prom, and other Tiger memories in photos, and we’re grateful she did!
Sherry is a woman of integrity who stays true to her values. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, even if it challenges others, and she does so respectfully and professionally. Over the years, I’ve turned to her for insights about our city, and I’ve learned so much from her.
As a Loveland homeowner and local real estate agent, staying informed about the city is essential. Sherry encouraged me to attend City Council meetings, which I now find invaluable for both my business and personal investment in the community. Sherry’s deep knowledge and commitment to Loveland make her the perfect person to serve on City Council. I have no doubt she will continue to act with honesty and protect our community’s core values. I am proud to support her in this journey".
